HOW TO RECORD THE NAME DIRECTORY ON AN ESI PHONE

THIS CAN BE DONE FROM ANY TELEPHONE ON THE PHONE SYSTEM.

STEP 1: ENTER PROGRAMMING MODE:

Pick up handset

Press PROGRAM button

Press HOLD  (it will ask you for a password)

Enter 456#  (this is your administrator password)

STEP 2:  CHOOSE RECORDING MENU:

The automated voice will start giving you options to press...

Press 6 for 'recordings'.

Press 2 for 'Name Directory'.

STEP 3: PROGRAM NAME DIRECTORY:

Now it will say "enter the extension number..." 

Dial the extension, then press #.

You will hear the recorded name, and see the name on the screen... The name on the screen is the correct name. Follow the instructions to record the name. 

Now it will ask you to ENTER THE KEY FOR THIS NAME...

If the name is Jane, the first letter is J, so the key is 5 (JKL). Press the key, then press #.  

If the name is Nancy, enter a 6#  ( 6 is MNO on the keypad). # confirms your entry.

Now it will ask you to enter another extension number to record...you can either hang up if you are done, or continue the same process.
